Today’s my first day off so as it was 22.c outside, so, my wife said the kids may enjoy playing in the new Bestway paddling pool, that we picked up from Argos the other week.
So, I get it out the box and set it out in the garden. The First thing I noticed was that unlike other paddling pools, we bought in the past there’s is nothing to blow up. It just has sides that are supported by the water in the pool.
Once I found a level piece of ground. Which is hard in my garden it was time to fill it up. We do not have an outside tap yet. So, I had to fit the hose adaptor to the kitchen sink to fill the pool up, it does have one bonus I can put warm water in the pool.
It only took 10 mins to fill. So, once I tested the water it was time to get the kids in there swimming costumes. Oscar has a wetsuit as we found he can get cold in swimming pools with his heart condition. Ivy-Lily however we tried her in a wetsuit once and she hated it so she got a classic swimsuit.
Well let’s say it went down a splash. The kids spent all afternoon in the pool. I had to top it up a few times as they had splashed a load of water out. But that also gave me the opportunity to top it up with warm water, to make sure no one got cold.
As for the pool, The Bestway Fill’n Fun cost about £20.00. We say it worth spending the extra money. Its well-made and unlike the ones you blow up. You get a good 8 inches of water in the pool. Plus the kids had lots of room to move around.
Time for Bed Now but let’s hope it’s warm again tomorrow.
